Quality Time Before Baby Sister - Raising Up Wonder

Quality Time Before Baby Sister

Hello again!

Can you believe that Christmas is in 7 days! Oh my goodness, sorry to be that person but, TIME IS FLYING.

I am officially 22 weeks pregnant now which means we are more than halfway to meeting miss Sadie Jane. I am so so excited!

This month has been really hard for our family and I don't want to be vague but for right now I can't give details. When I can share I will, because God gets all the glory! I could tell that with everything going on Avery was definitely in need of some one on one time. Her love language is quality time for sure! You could get the kid everything in the world but all she really wants is just your undivided attention and to play together! She has the sweetest heart, and when she gets a little sour I can tell she needs a to go on a date with me or Blake and I.

So we went out in our Matilda Jane outfits and had a blast! So many people complimented Avery on her dress, she loves to wear it! Twirling in it makes everything more fun!

Our first stop was the ice cream shop! We both got chocolate and said "cheers" with our cones.

Next stop was this park right by the lake, it is a smaller park but had a ton of kiddos to play with. Something monumental happened here people! Avery finally mastered the "fireman's pole" (that is what its called right.... haha!) And she was SO EXCITED. It was really cool to be able to see her do something for the first time and be so happy she did it by practicing.

We brought along her new favorite Annika doll, Matilda Jane carries doll clothes that match the girls line and it is so amazing! The quality of everything is unreal.

The bump was out and peeking through this tank! Which works great for pregnancy, but is such a cute cut it is going to be awesome for postpartum! And my olive leggings feel like heaven and they have details on them that make them look like pants. So comfy! Also going to be perfect for after baby.

The biggest thing I have learned about having a kiddo who thrives with regular quality time is that it doesn't have to be fancy.

We have done everything from taking her to Disneyland to just taking her brother to grandmas so we could play dolls.

And while these outings are fun depending on the season I might not be able to make them happen.  We regularly use Ryder's nap time to draw together or play outside. I know it is going to be a huge adjustment adding another sweet baby to our family but I am hopeful that we will still get our little opportunities to connect.

We had such a special time and I am so thankful we got the chance to get out of the house together. I hope these little moments turn in to big memories for this little girl! Before I go I want to give a huge thank you to Matilda Jane for sending us our sweet outfits that were just perfect for our date! Please go read what they are all about here I promise you be just obsessed as I am after reading about their company!
